Buna-N is the most commonly used O-Ring material due to its strength and durability. It is suitable for a broad range of fluids including oils, water, and mild chemicals.

The O-rings are black, medium hard, and have a nominal inside diameter of 7/16 in and a nominal width of 1/16 in. They have an actual inside diameter of 0.426 in and an actual width of 0.07 in. The standard durometer is 70 or 90, but they can be made in other durometers.

Buna-N O-rings, also known as nitrile or NBR O-rings, are a common sealing elastomer. They are resistant to petroleum-based fuels and lubricants and are recommended for crude oil, gasoline, propane, petroleum oils, and water.

Buna-N O-rings have a temperature range of generally -30°to 250°F
